Dr. Charles Wiener is vice president of academic affairs and of Asia operations for Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI). He leads multiple global projects, including strategic planning, oversight of educational infrastructure planning and medical training.

He is also a professor of medicine and physiology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and director of undergraduate studies for the medicine, science and the humanities major at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. He focuses on integrating JHI and School of Medicine programs, and on coordinating physician involvement in JHI’s international collaborations.

Charlie holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a medical degree from the University of Miami. He completed specialty training and his chief residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle.
